Fundraiser
The Chinese Culture Foundation of San Francisco will be holding its 8th annual Harmony and Bliss Fundraising Dinner on Saturday, November 4, 2006. The event will take place at the Chinese Culture Center Grand Ballroom located at 750 Kearny St, 3rd Floor. Tickets are priced at $175, with various sponsorship levels. Harmony and Bliss features a food and wine pairing, using gourmet Chinese dinner and a selection of Western wine.
Harmony and Bliss 2006 will include a live auction and a silent auction. All proceeds from this event support the continuing mission of CCF to promote art and culture in the community.

Exhibition: Duk Duk Chaang: The Clamor and Glamour of Chinese Opera

Free Chinese Chess Workshops on August 19 & 26
Sunday, July 16th, 2006World-renowned Chinese Chess player Anna Yin will offer a free Introduction to Chinese Chess workshop for children and adults on August 19 and 26 in the Chinese Culture Center classrooms on floor 3Mezzanine.
Children’s Storytelling at CCC
Saturday, July 15th, 2006The Chinese Culture Center will offer a storytelling session for schoolchildren on Friday, August 11. Storytellers Alice Wang and Don Delcollo will host the event in the CCC Gallery amidst the Duk Duk Chaang Exhibition.
Chinese Chess Class starts July 6
Saturday, July 1st, 2006World-renowned Chinese Chess player Anna Yin will offer free classes over a period of ten weeks at the Chinese Culture Center. The classes start on Thursday, July 6th from 5:30pm to 7:00pm. Students are welcome to join at any time. Chinese Chess (Xiang Qi) evolved from an ancient Chinese game called Liubo that was invented some 3,500 years ago. It is a fun game that combines strategic thinking and cultural heritage.
