Stella Zhang is the featured artist of the 2010 Xian Rui (“Fresh & Sharp”) Artist Excellence Exhibition Series. The Exhibition Series is an annual solo exhibition curated by the Chinese Culture Center to showcase the work of an exceptional but under-represented Chinese artist in America. In previous years the Series has featured artists such as installation Beili Liu from Austin, and fiber artist Dora Hsiung from Boston.
Join us on August 14th for a dialogue with the artist, moderated by SFAC’s Lucy Lin, as she introduces not only the inspirations and creative process behind her 0-Viewpoint exhibit but hosts the premiere of a documentary on the artistic process behind 0-Viewpoint’s creation. While you’re here, take a tour of the gallery and help yourself to light refreshments.
The Xian Rui Artist Excellence Exhibition Series 2008-2010 was made possible by the generous support of the Phyllis C. Wattis Foundation. 2008-2010.
Preview a short clip behind the making of “0-Viewpoint” and join us on August 14th for the premiere of the documentary!
