The CCC and our partners at Asian Improv aRts, API Cultural Center, Chinese Historical Society of America Museum, Chinatown Community Development Center and Chinese Progressive Association are very excited to announce the 2nd annual Chinatown Music Festival, taking place on September 25th.
The Festival will feature free performances by Jest Jammin’, Genryu Arts, Sherlin Chan & The Star Valley Children’s Choir, Latin Jazz Youth Ensemble of San Francisco led by John Calloway, Charlie Chin, San Francisco Guzheng Society and the world-premiere of “Portrait of Sun Yat-sen” by Jon Jang and Unbound Chinatown, celebrating the October 10 Centennial of the Chinese Revolution and the Chinese Republic’s first provisional president, Dr. Sun Yat-sen.
華埠音樂節 (Chinatown Music Festival – CMF) 是舊金山中華文化中心旗下的項目活動之一，目的是慶祝華埠藝術界的繁榮以及舊金山文化的多元化。這也是華埠第一個免費的戶外音樂會。今年的華埠音樂節也將同時致敬辛亥革命及其領導人、孫逸仙博士100年週年紀念。
