Ni hao!
I would like to register for a Winter 2009 Adult Weekend Mandarin course and wonder which level would be appropriate for me.
I have already taken three semesters of Mandarin speaking and writing at UC Berkeley Extension, using “New Practical Chinese Reader.”
Our most recent class completed Volume 2 through lesson 21.
It seems that this level corresponds to your intermediate course, but I would like to confirm this with the instructor.
I would appreciate your advice or the name of the teacher to contact.
Xiexie,
Kim McGovern
My daughter is 7.5 – do you have anything for that age or do you recommend she take the adult classes?
Hi Kim,
According to your background, I suggest you take Intermediate level. Lin Lin and Mei Xue are the instructors for Weekend Intermediate class and Weekday Intermediate class respectively. Should you have any more question, please feel free to contact me at 415-986-1822, ex23, or email to fengyuan@c-c-c.org
Thanks for your interest in CCC class!

Hi Daniel.
Sorry, we currently don’t have Mandarin class for children at that age, and she should be over 12 to take adult class. But we are planing to open after school Mandarin classes in 2009, please leave your contact information and I’ll keep you posted with the new classes. My contact information is 415-986-1822 ex23, email address: fengyuan@c-c-c.org

Ni3men hao3,
I am interested in either the Advanced Beginner or Intermediate adult Mandarin courses for this summer (I am currently completing my second semester of Mandarin).
Could you please tell me if there will be a session this summer, and if so, which times/days are available? (It was hard to tell from the website as there only seems to be Spring registration. )
Xie4xie,
W Hayes
Hello, For what age group is the Children’s class suitable? My daughter is almost 5 (entering K in the fall).
Thanks,
Fiona
Do these classes focus on writing simplified or traditional Chinese? If simplified, do you know of other programs in the Bay Area that might teach traditional characters as well?
Hi Fiona, thanks for your interest in our Children Learn and Play Program! This program is for children from 3 to 6, so your daughter can definitely enroll. Please contact me at 415-986-1822, etx 23 if you need more info. Thanks!–Fengyuan Ji
Hi Alex, our Mandarin program focuses on writing simplified Chinese characters, but traditional characters will also be introduced. — Fengyuan Ji
Hello .. I am interested in starting the Beginner class again this summer. I will be in China for 2 weeks until the end of July. I would like to know who is teaching the Summer Beginning class and what nights that meets? The information on the class is not very clear.
I thank you for you prompt attention and this invaluable service.
