World-renowned Chinese Chess player Anna Yin will offer a free Introduction to Chinese Chess workshop for children and adults on August 19 and 26 in the Chinese Culture Center classrooms on floor 3Mezzanine.
Chinese Chess (Xiang Qi) evolved from an ancient Chinese game called Liubo that was invented some 3,500 years ago. It is a fun game that combines strategic thinking and cultural heritage. During the workshop, Anna will explain the basic rules and strategy of Chinese Chess. After learning the fundamentals, participants will have an opportunity to play a brief match against other attendees.
