In Search of Roots
and Angel Island Field Trip
Attended by CCC members, families and friends,
the interns of the 1996 In Search of Roots
culminated their year long genealogy research
program in a presentation in the auditorium of
the CCC. The interns created an exhibition about
their research and findings which was shown in
the community gallery during Chinese New Year and
remained on view through March 30. Many were the
praises and encouraging comments from the general
public who saw this exhibit. Our thanks go to Pam
Tse (Roots '93) and Robert Tse (Roots '96) for
volunteering to help us with designing the
exhibition.
The 1997 group of "Roots" interns
have been selected. They will be involved in the
year long program in search of their heritage and
family history, and going back to their ancestral
villages in China this summer. The new interns
are:

Alvina Lee, Sophomore, Stanford University
