2011 Season of Sharing

Dear members and friends,

Thanksgiving is a time of reunion and to renew our commitment to community service.
Your support this year has enabled art and culture to take a pioneering lead in transforming our community as well as in influencing the city’s dynamic art renaissance. We saw unprecedented growth in CCC’s membership, and we served over 33,000 members of the community with our diverse programming. Here are some highlights:

  • Attendance for the Chinatown Music Festival exceeded 5,000, with a majority of
  • audience members coming from low- and middle-income households.
  • We are thrilled that hundreds of Bay Area schoolchildren participated in our Heritage Walk, ensuring that Chinatown takes an important role in our children’s education.
  • We are proud to celebrate twenty years of the In Search of Roots program.
  • We look forward to the work of our “11/11 Committee” in our newest initiative to support young and emerging artists and community activism.
  • Our visual arts programming expanded to the world stage, with Xian Rui 2011’s White Ink exhibition garnering international renown and bringing the cutting edge of contemporary art to Chinatown.

We invite your support to ensure that the Chinese Culture Center will continue to grow with this momentum, to lead efforts to engage youth, to foster community bonds and to contribute to Chinatown’s economic revitalization. It is our goal to nurture the leadership of tomorrow, and to pass on our legacy to the next generation. Your membership and support will make an impact in building a community that values multicultural interaction and social justice.
We are grateful for your encouragement and hope that you will renew your membership today, and to help us achieve our Season of Sharing campaign goal of raising $20,000.
Your contributions can be made online, or mailed to
